Process improvement

What is process improvement?  It is a systematic way of identifying and eliminating organizational redundancies and inefficiencies.  The results of process improvement can be quicker turnaround, fewer job steps, less resources utilized to get the same job done, better staff productivity and lower cost.  This is one of those management tasks that often get neglected because of too many other demands on time and talent.  What comes first during a busy week?  Does a credit union make the decision to take of care of member requests and problems, or take time to examine a process for improvement?  A few credit unions have assigned an internal I. T. professional or systems analyst to study and implement ways of improving effectiveness and productivity but too often other projects pull those employees away.

Call Strategic Mark for assistance if you want to make improvements that benefit member service and improve the organization for the other projects and tasks ahead.  A credit union's competitors are not standing still.  Strategic Mark will flowchart routine tasks to identify unnecessary and inefficient job steps and activities.  The review can include internal controls.  The result is a targeted set of recommended process improvements.  The credit union just has to follow through on making the changes.
